My Star dome.

                     The sun and the solar system.

On thursday we went to the stardome. We went on the bus and went to stardome we had intended after intended room 7 and room 8 came with us to the star dome.  Room 9 and room 10 went to play at the park. We learned where the sun is and we had look at the solar system. We  walked in the observatory classroom to look at the stars and we watched a video about tilt of the earth and the sun.

We went for Lunch after room 9 , 10, and they  went into the star dome. Meanwhile, room 7 and  8 went out to  play and and room 9 and 10 went inside the star dome to  talk about the solar system. We played in the park at the star dome was the flying fox, octopus, spider web, I went to have a ride on the octopus, i felt like i was floating away.

 sometimes  they cover their boat with palm fronds when they are not using them, to protect them from the  sun pouring it.                                                             

     2.    The boat is made from natural resources. What are the resources?they scrape off the outer skin and  then slice the poles into thin slat to make the bamboo easier to  weave they soak the slats in water

A special time with my friend.

A special time with my best friend Autumn and I.  

We celebrated her birthday in the weekend and she was really really excited because it was her birthday. We went to the swimming  pool's, Hoyt's and lastly we went to rainbow's end. When we went to Rainbow's end my best friend and I went on the rides. The ride that I hated most was the stratosphere. It was so scary when it turned up side down for a few seconds and it was scary because you were slipping out of you chair. The other ride that I didn't like was the invader because when you go up it goes high and feels like you are going to fall off. Autumn told me that she had the best birthday she ever had and she was happy and I really love my best buddy.

                   My Holidays blog.

Guess What i have done in the Holidays is that we went to the  swimming pool’s with my family  After that we went home for dinner and what we had was popcorn,chips,cookies,ice cream and condos.

First we went to the movie’s with my Mum and Dad, what we watched in the movie was the maze runner the people that worked their turned off the lights and we started to watch it.

After that when the movie was finished me and my family went back home because my Brother wanted to go home so we went home to drop him  back home.

Later on my unity was still driving on the car so that  my brother can go home. My brother remember that he has a sister at home and he really miss her sister and he want to so wanted to go home.

     

Brushing our teeth.

Today room 7 student went out to brush their teeth. Before we brushed our teeth we went to put water in our cup and put our tooth paste on to our tooth brush and brushed our teeth for 2 minutes. Mrs Parker was taking pictures of us brushing our teeth. When we finished brushing our teeth. Mrs Card told us to spit out the little bit of paste from our mouth and to wash our mouth and to put back our tooth paste back in to the box and we went back to class. We learnt that we should brush our teeth for two minutes and keep our teeth healthy and strong.

CROSS COUNTRY PRACTISE

Today Room7 students went outside to practice our cross country with Mrs Parker. When we started jogging around the field I could feel the wind. It started blowing and we were so cold. When we were jogging I started to run fast and I became warm so I knew I had to run around the field one more time. Once I finished I sat on the blue seats and waited for the rest of the class so we could go back to class. When we went back to class we had to go on to our docs, and write what we did for fitness. I loved running around the field twice in preparation for Cross Country.

Glenbrae school is the best.

Glenbrae school is the best school in the world because we are good at sports, we are digital learners and we keep our school beautiful.

I like sport because of the lovely netball tournament games that we have played. Also Kiwi Can have games at school for us. We also have Kiwi Sport that we go to on Tuesday mornings. What we play in kiwi sports is baseball, octopus, touch, athletics and basketball.

I love learning with digital tools because we learn more and more of stuff like math, writing, reading and we used our netbook for IXL Maths and for reading and writing. We make lots of movies and diagrams by using our netbooks.

 

I love keeping our school beautiful because when visitors come to our school they will love it.

My Insects.

WALT: Create an argument with a point of view (P.O.V) and reasons for or against.

SC: Use evidence for or against the topic to create an argument for:

People should eat insects as part of a healthy diet. I agree that we should eat insects  because it is really healthy and it’s got lots of  iron,protein and zinc, compared to eating beef and pork.

It takes less water to grow insects, than it does to grow beef and to produce pork and  environment.

It Easy to grow and to catch more porks and it doesn't take

to much land to grow lots of bugs.

WALT - To write a narrative about a time at the mall with friends.

SC - A beginning middle and end… with a

moral to the story.

This story called Amelia's birthday party.

The wind was blowing through the trees, rustling quietly in the background. Amelia was at the park with her friend. They were playing on the swings. They are pushing themselves.  So that they can fly by themselves  and enjoy the swing. When they have finished playing on the swing they were playing on the monkeys bars and they was standing on the monkey bars and holding hands and walk together and playing lots and lots of games. When  they finished playing on the monkey bars they went back home to go to a party at Amelia’s house because it was her birthday, so all of her family came to her  birthday. While Amelia had been at the park, Mary had secretly baked a beautiful strawberry cake with pink icing and strawberries on the top. She went outside to say surprise to Amelia, and when she went back inside the cake was GONE! All that was left were some crumbs on the plate. So Mary dasen’t want to ruin Amelia's birthday party.So Mary quickly ran to the shopping and by a new birthday cake for amelia’s birthday.when Mary came back from the shopping, she quickly held Amelia’s hands and whispered “close her eyes and counts to 10”.

When Mary stopped counting to 10 Amelia opened her eyes and all of her family said “Happy Birthday”. So she started  to scream, with excitement because she knows it is her birthday party today. Her parents were so happy that Mary got a birthday cake for amelia. All of her family sang her a birthday song before she blew out the candles on the cake.

Today Mrs Raj taught us how to measure and make a net

to create a 3 dimensional shape.

With Mrs Raj i learned how to make a cuboid which has 8 faces, 12 edges and 8

 vertices. Boxes are made to hold or store things. Boxes are used for packaging.

I will use my cuboid to store my marbles.

MRS Parker has light green eyes  like the leaves on the tree. She has a beautiful red straight  hair.

Mrs Parker is tall like the fruit trees in the playground. She is helpful because she always teaches us how to learn more helpful. She’s really friendly because she always makes friends with other people and is kind to everyone.

Claire’s Mother worked in a local cinema. She showed the people to their seats.

Claire’s Mum wanted Claire to be a pop star so that Mum could show her off in the cinema.

Claire did not tell her mum that she did not like drama or acting but wanted to be a vet.

When she grew up she changed her mind and became a pop star.

Today we went to the hall to learn how to look after our teeth. We have to always clean our teeth every morning and evening. If you don't brush your teeth then  you'll  get decay in your teeth. You also have to floss your teeth and eat healthy food with no sugar. I also learnt that coca cola is the most sold item out of 33.000 other  supermarket items.

He needs to find a safe place to stay for the night.Mum will be very worried.Suddenly Angus

started sniffing the ground.”What are you sniffing on the ground “ said Henry. Angus kept sniffing  

the ground and walking away.“Where are you going Angus?”Henry said.  “Wait for me!” Henry

was tired and hungry but he kept following Angus who was still walking and sniffing the ground.”I

think we are lost Angus,” Angus started barking excitedly.Henry looked ahead and saw a Police car

with it’s lights on.He ran toward the lights and Angus was still barking and running.The Policeman  

shone his torch at  Angus and Henry.”Can you take me home please, I've been lost and my

dog Angus saved us.” “Your Mum will be glad to see you“ said the Policeman.

Today room 7 visit Glen Innes Library.There where people from Auckland {Tamaki Maukarau} museum to tell us a story about two tribes and how Tamaki Makaurau got its mountains{Maunga} the tribes were called Turehu and Patupaiarehe and how Prince Danny and Princess Amelia who went finishing down at Queen St river{waihorotiu}feel in love and went to live with Turehe tribe.
